Leaking from your nipples
Some women detect leaking from their nipples during pregnancy, and this is typical.
During pregnancy, the breasts may begin to produce milk several weeks or even months before the due date.
Colostrum, the first milk your breasts produce in preparation for feeding your baby, is typically the fluid that is dripping from your nipples. Leaking is normal and nothing to worry about.
If it upsets you, you can try putting a tissue or an absorbent breast pad (also called maternity breast pads, or nursing pads) in your bra to absorb the milk. Breast pads are offered in several pharmacies and mother and baby shops.
When to get aid
If the milk leaking from your breasts has blood in it, talk to your midwife or GP.
After your kid is born and if you're breastfeeding, your breasts may probably leak milk. You can learn more about breastfeeding, including how to express and store breast milk as well as how to handle common breastfeeding issues.
Some women carry on producing milk for up to two years after they stop nursing.
